Tom Cruise Sucks Big Hairy Balls!

So, I was watching my entertainment shows late last night (yes, I do watch the ET's and all that. I have been hopelessly addicted for a long time.) and they were talking about/to Tom Cruise. I'm not sure which show it was, because it was about two in the morning, and I was half asleep.

Switching gears for just a second, (only a second, I swear, I will get back on track in just a second. This is the reason why Tom really, really sucks, and should be erased from human existance for being such a sheister.) A few weeks ago, I was watching Oprah, which I often do whenever I get the chance, being that I am a huge fan of hers, and her show, as well as Oprah herself, rocks. And Brooke Sheilds was on.

It turns out, that she had battled with sever Post Partum depression. A condition that many new mothers have to suffer through, due to lovely crazy hormones. Most suffer in silence, and alone. It's not something that is talked about, especially by a famous actress, who is supposed to be leading a happy 'Vie en Rose' life. But instead of just dealing with her own problems and letting them rest in her closet along with the rest of her skeletons, she chose to write a book about it, and go on Oprah, and help to open up the issue for discussion.

Honestly, in my opinion, to do that, to have the courage to go out there and to talk about something that is so personal, and almost taboo in our society, is amazing. I admire her so much for doing that. She spoke so plainly about seeking treatment, and about how the medication that she was given, along with therapy helped her. In all seriousness, the fact that she recognized that she had a serious problem, and sought help, is admirable in itself. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

But good ole Tommy, (schmuck) went on record saying that he is 'disappointed' in Brooke, because she took prescription medication while supervised by a lisensed psychiatrist. In his demented little world, she could have coped with her severe case of post partum depression with a few vitamins.

Let me be the first to say it.

EW!

I'm sorry, but when did Tom Cruise find the time in between making his piece of crap War of the Worlds (Which by the way is making a mockery of the novel by the same name. It's not an action adventure story, Speilberg, it's a look at life on other planets. Maybe if you took the time to READ IT you would know. Just a thought.) to get a medical degree? I didn't realize that when you become a Scientologist, you get an M.D. at the end of your name.

So, since he doesn't have a liscense to practice medicine, what exactly qualifies him to make such a statement about a woman whom he knows nothing about? And what in the world gives him the right to criticize Brooke Sheilds on anything? The last time I checked, the thing he's most famous for is singing 'You've lost that loving feeling' and dancing in his underwear. It takes a much smarter, and much stronger person to recognize that they need help, and to go out and seek treatment, than Tom Cruise will ever know.

So shame on you Tom, shame on you.

I was shouting "AMEN" to your blog title before reading your blog. . . I'll back you up.
I caught that Oprah. I don't watch a lot, but I do like Brooke Shields. And I thought it was amazing for her to talk about it all--especially how badly she wanted the baby and then being so depressed later on. It will help a lot of women, because so many women would blame themselves for not being able to 'handle' something they 'wanted' so badly. Kudos to her.
Sucks to TC. Geesh, he's never even lived with a pregnant woman has he? It must be nice to be him, up on his delusional pedestal dating someone young enough to be his daughter.
and thanks for the kudos for watiw--I was suprised by that chapter, too! lol.
and I promise, never to yell at you. hehe.

OMG, he really did say that? Wow. If he wasn't too engrossed in advertising his current relationship with KH, maybe the world would actually criticize him for what he said about Brooke. I knew (from People Magazine, of course) that she did suffer from the depression... Where there were days she wanted to hurl her baby to the wall because she can't stop the baby from crying. The difference? She knew what was going in her head but she had the willpower not to go through doing it.

TC is a Scientologist and a MAN. What makes his statement legit? Grrr.

Screw the cradle snatcher! LMAO.
