I'm Back!
Matt graduated on Sunday.
I am so proud of him. He did really, really well this year, buckling down and taking extra classes last summer and during both the fall and spring semesters, so he could graduate on time. He is now the official recipient of a degree. I can't believe that he did it. To be honest, I thought that I would have gotten mine before he got his.
I left of Saturday, and drove up to NH with my godfather and my Auntie P. They made fun of my bringing five books with me, like they always do. It's not my fault that I can't solely read one book. I don't know why. I have this need to read about four or five at a time, because I get bored extremely easily, and for some reason, I get finished with them quicker when I'm reading more than one.
The best part was that I got to spend five days with Matt. I missed him so much, and it was so great to see him. If it's at all possible, he has gotten taller. Either that, or I'm shrinking. (He's 6"6, and I'm a measily 5"3', and that's pushing it. Everyone in my family is tall. My thirteen year old sister hasn't hit her growth spurt yet, and she's only about half an inch shorter than I am. Life isn't fair, I tell you.) We had so much fun. I brought some of my VM tapes with me, and I think I might have converted him. He thinks that Logan and Veronica are great together too. He and I got into this huge debate over which kiss was better. The first kiss between Logan and Veronica, or the first reall kiss between Ross and Rachel on Friends. I think that the R&R kiss had more of a buildup, because you had been waiting and rooting for that kiss for two years, and he thinks that the way that L&V just took you completely off guard made it better. Both were amazing onscreen kisses, probably two of the best television kisses of all time. And we agreed to disagree, as long as I never revealed to any of his football buddies that he spent twenty minutes arguing over which make out scene was better.
Oh, and last night, we ended up watching OTH. I know, I know. But lets think this through. He really likes Jimmy Eat World, and they did end up playing my fav song by them, Hear You Me. Plus, there was a shirtless Chad on there too. And we all can agree that the best Chad is Naked Chad, no matter which state of undress he is in, any shown skin is appreciated.
I think that he has been watching OTH on the sly and not telling me. Because when the end of the eppie came, and Dan bought the farm, he said that he thought that Kieth was the one that killed him. And Kieth wasn't in this episode. I think that he is right. I mean, Kieth was really, really mad at Dan for what he did to him. Plus, he has the best alibi of them all with "I haven't been in town for months." I think that it was either Kieth or Whitey, because he was also mad, and Dan threatened his lively hood.
I can't believe that Brooke left. What an idiot. How could she just leave after Lucas told her that he love her. What an idiot. And I'm so sick of Haley. She's irritating, and annoying, and I can't believe that she would just show up on the Scott's doorstep like that. Bitch. I mean, she signed the annulment papers. They aren't married anymore. Get a clue, and go away. And Peyton, wow. To find out that your mother isn't your mother from some stranger is really horrible. What an evil lady that one was. I wonder if this means that her dad will be making an appearance next year.
Another clue that Matt has seen OTH more than just this time, is that he knew who Nikki was. When she showed up with Jenny at the jail, we both started to freak. I can't believe that she is that evil. I hope that Jake finds her and dumps her body in a ditch. But to see him leave Tree Hill for the last time really broke my heart. Jake was my favorite character on that whole show. He was awesome, and I'll miss him. I probably won't even watch next year, because he isn't gonna be there.
But I had a great time with Matt. I can't wait till the wedding, and I get to visit him again. I'm trying to get him to come down here for a visit, but he's not sure if he can get the time off. I'll keep at him. After all, I haven't been able to get him to watch GG with me yet. He made me watch Mad Max this weekend, which is a completly retarded movie. Very graphic. Very gross. Ew. And that kid, wow. Creepy.
Ugh, I hate being back in my world. I wanna go back up to NY, where I don't have to work, and I don't have school, or bills or responsibilities. I have to go to work all Memorial Day weekend, starting tomorrow. I guess that's what I get for getting away from it all. At least I'll be outside for the sidewalk sales. I'm in charge of making sure that everyone doesn't steal any Zoddie stuff. I always do SS's. I think it's because I have this really scary stare that can practically kill. And I tend to notice all the little things that most people don't, like someone shoving a polo shirt in their purse.

Welcome back, lady! At least you were able to spend some time with your hunky hulk friend. (hint, hint).
He has so been watching OTH behind your back-- and the Jimmy Eat World performance is a front. Squee! So, hold up. Is Dan definitely dead or is it soap-opera enough that he gets resurrected? Keith killing Dan? Ha! Keith purchased a back bone since last season? But it is sad to hear Jake gone. Like what I told you before, he was the only thing that made sense in the whole show. The nekkid (okay, partially) Lucas is just a bonus. What was Brooke's reason for leaving? How did Nikke get Jenny back? And why did Peyton find out he mom's not her real mom? Again, where's the basketball reference other than Whitey?
Sorry to hear that you have to work the holiday weekend, I, for once, am off! (Yes, I am rather surprised myself).
I'll try to lay out in the sun for you if the PA weather cooperates... At least you can have your surrogate tan (without burning) through me. ;)

i missed a nakedChad? Bummer. I didn't watch the eppy, but I did read the boards afterward to hear that Dan bit it (though no one seemed sure he was actually dead--didn't he fake-die before?). I hope it's true, I don't really care who did it. The Peyton's mom thing is a bummer. I wanted her with Lucas--but I loved JAke too. But none of it was enough to keep me watching it. Basically anything with Peyton I like.
Where you and Miel find men who watch these shows is beyond me, but I love to hear there are such boys in the world.
Glad you had fun seeing your boy. It's always nice to get away from the real world. Hopefully your warm fluffy feelings from your time away will hold you over and through the crazy holiday work weekend.
