La Vie en Rose

I think that this might be my favorite song of all time. I love it so, it was the reason I chose to take French for 5 1/2 years in school. I first heard it as a small child watching one of my favorite movies, Sabrina. Now, this is the original Sabrina, the one with Bogey and Ms. Hepburn. The one with Indiana Jones is nowhere near as wonderful. I personally blame that tart from Legend of the Fall. I hated what she did to Brad and his two brothers. What a slut, she went through the entire family, minus the nearly crippled father. Great, now I'm off topic.

So anyway, here it is, La Vie en Rose

It's such a beautiful song, so amazing, and wonderful. I love it. My friend Rie and I are going to have an Audrey Marathon when she comes back for Summer Vaycay. She just got Two for the Road and Funny Face on DVD, and I found Charade in an outlet store a few months ago, and we both have the standards of Sabrina (My fav movie!) Roman Holiday, Breakfast at Tiffany's and My Fair Lady. We do this once a year, and it's a blast. It annoys everyone else, because for a whole weekend, we take over the TV at her house or mine and watch nothing but Audrey.

I love Charade! I have it on DVD. Though, I must admit, I am more a fan of Cary Grant than Audrey--though she's wonderful as well. I need to get a copy of North by Northwest. . . But I love him to pieces.
Sadly, I took German in school, and didn't understand any of your song. But if there is anything worth spending an afternoon doing, it's watching old movies. They used to do it right once upon a time. . .

That's what is so cool about having girlfriends: movie marathons. I miss that.

I am a fan of Audrey Hepburn. Love Breakfast at Tiffany's and My Fair Lady. Also love her in Always.

*sigh*

Even if I am rather quick at picking up languages, French is one that I cannot do. (Sucks that my name IS french and can't speak the language).
Hmm, have fun when you eventually have the Hepburn marathon. I'll be living vicariously through you.

PS. Never watched Charade though I have North by Northwest.
