The Letdown
Okay, so that spoiler that we've all been obsessing over for days?
I don't think it's what we thought it was.
Now this is straight off of GilmoreFan, so it's got to be pretty accurate... but there is always the possibility that we're going to get shocked that Rory will walk in one Logan and some dude somewhere down the line...
My source says that the secret life reference is to Richard and a double life. It is not what we thought. The truth comes out to at least Rory and maybe Emily. I didn't ask about Lorelai. Richard has been a member and an alumni of the Life and Death Brigade. A function or yearly even makes this clear to Rory and thus the secret life he has been hiding for years.

So, now while it didn't come from Kristen or from AA, it does make sense, and seems much more ASP than turning someone gay for the ratings and for shock value like ER and other shows like that. I have to say, that when they have a character for six or seven years that is straight and then one day they wake up and decide to be gay, it really irritates me. Because then you know it's not honest character development, it's just so they can get more people in to watch and say, 'Oh, My God!"
Gah!
If this is accurate, I think it's a lot more GG style. And I was already thinking that Richard was a part of the LDB. He's rich, he's a Yalie, he was devoted to the school, and there were an awful lot of young, current LDBers at Rory's Yale Male party. Which means that their parents were in it. And since Richard know them and the kids so well, it stands to reason...
What do you guys think? Is Richard in the LDB or is Doyle gay?

See I figured out that Richard would've been an LDBer. He didn't raise eyebrows when he "knew" certain LDB activities and how it affected the Rory/Logan dynamic.
The 'clue' made more sense although it's the kind of promotion that pisses me off. It's selling the wrong kind of info to the viewers leaving them pissed and angry.
WB needs to find a better person to summarize the story lines.

i don't think anyone is gay... i don't think any of these people have enough shame not to be whoever they are... who is stopping them? i don't think it's doyle being gay--besides, Paris is butch enough to be his boyfriend anyhow...
i figured richard was an LDBer too. he knew all the boys, he likes the whiffenpoof songs too much.
and what do we know about the spoilers they like to toss us? it always looks like it has to do with sex, and it always looks worse than it is. . . . except in the case of luke's daughter and the stupid dog.
