President's Day Marks It
So, today is my actual anniversary for FF.net. I should really post something, preferrably something 'Heir' shaped, since that was what started it all, but I don't think that I'll have time. I have to be at work in a few hours, and junk.
Well, at least we got a whole mess of snow dumped on us, so I didn't have any classes today. That rocks. No evil bitchy music teacher, or a retaurded prof. Wahoo!
However, I'm still gonna have to go to work at 1ish. I really, really hope that we don't have a lot of peeps come in due to snow, and they don't want me to come in. Even though it's president's day, and I'll get time and a half.
If I don't go to work today, then TC4 will prolly get finished. Yay! I sent my snippet off to Amy for her opinion, and she loved it. I'm so glad. I love it when people love my writing.
Pray for now work, and I might give you a chapter!
Ooh, I'm gonna give you a snippet! Not the whole one that I gave Amy, because she is special, but a good snippet none the less.
Paris craning her neck to see around a woman in a large blue hat that had situated herself in front of them. “Hey, Mrs. Peacock, do you think you could take it into the billiard room? Maybe you could find Professor Plum and take out Miss Scarlet with the wrench!”
The woman turned her head, giving her a look before she and her male companion moved to another patch of lawn.
“Paris, you really have to try harder to be nice to people.” Madeline commented brightly. “It makes life easier when your peers don’t hate you.”
“I don’t care if someone who could pose for a Milton Bradley board game hates me. I don’t even know that woman. I have never seen her before in my life.”
“That’s Mrs. Waltham, Paris.” Louise winced once she realized who the woman was. “She just pledged an undisclosed seven figure sum to build the new Cardiac wing in Hartford Memorial.”
“Damn it!” Paris swore loudly, attracting some stares from her former classmates.
So, what did you think? I like it.
