That's the Night That the Lights Went Out in Pa...
So, that lovely winter storm that we NEPAians had Wed night? Totally sucked.
It was mainly just ice and crap, so we ended up with about a half inch of ice on the trees. Well, trees aren't all that noted for holding up under all that extra weight, and branches were coming down all over NEPa. Ugh.
I lost my cable first, and well, I have a cable modem. It happened on Thursday evening, and by Thursday night, we had no power. Then, to make matters worse, the phone lines went out early Friday morning, so it was like living in the stinking Dark Ages.
We didn't get our power back on until about noon on Saturday. AND, I had to go to work on Saturday, so I had to run from Bville, where I reside, to Eastburg, to the hospital where my Mom works to take a shower in the Peds wing, then all the way over to Tville, to work. That's in the other direction, for all you peeps outside of the Poconos. And I did all this in less than an hour, as I got up at 9am, and had to be at work at 10am But, as I told IZ Richard, I felt much better after I got all clean and shiny. And, I was only three mins late!
I hope that he enjoyed the nice visual that I set up for him.
But, as we didn't have power, or telephones for 48 hrs, I had to find out about the Brad/Jen split from Nicole. She called work to tell me, since I was unreachable for so long, and she told me. I am really upset. I know, it's totally childish, and stupid to get caught up with stars lives, but hey, what can you do?
Well, we all know that it's probably because of the whole baby issue, as Brad has been on all sorts of shows saying that he wants to be a daddy. Hey, if he's looking for someone to procreate with, LOOK NO FURTHER!!!! I'll gladly step up to the plate, given a couple of practice swings. (I'm trying to write the next chapter of my story, and get into the naughty Tristan's head a little. Do you think that that double entendre is acceptable?)
I don't know what Jen is thinking. Does she think she's going to find someone better? IT'S BRAD PITT! He's the top of the Man Chain, for Christ' Sake!
