The goddess of Sanity
There is a goddess of sanity, and her name is Miel.
I am forever in her debt for brining me back from the brink of insanity, and for that, I have nothing but love and affection for her. ( You thought that I was gonna give you something tangible? Maybe later. But for now, my eternal gratitude will have to suffice.) Amy probably is saved because of her too. I know that she was going nuts as well.
I never would have found it tonight. I have been searching all day. I half ass watched about thirty GG eppies today. Some from season one, and the entire season 2 DVD set. I fastforwarded through all the parts that weren't in the diner, and weren't between Luke and Lorelai. But still, I thought that it was sometime in season one or two, and between tapes and DVD's plus perusing all season one eppies that weren't taped on TwizTv, I was ready to call it quits. I was just beginning to think that maybe it was in season three, but I never would have made it to season 4. I was getting ready to crack.
The episode in question, is 4.05, The Fundamental Things Apply. The quote, is:
LUKE: WHY CANT YOU RESPECT THE RULES OF MY DINER?
LORELAI: I DO RESPECT THE RULES OF YOU DINER, ITS THAT BASEBALL CAP I HAVE ISSUES WITH!

PS- I am also in her debt for introducing me to the joys of Logan/Veronica fanfics. She sent me a bunch of links to some great ones, and I can't wait to check the site out on my own. Plus, between the two of us, we got Amy to cave. Slowly but surely, maybe we can turn all the OTH fans into VM fans, and then, no one will be left to watch it, and the WB will have to cancel it, and then CMM will have no choice but to come back to GG, and then everything will be perfect!

ah, now i see your evil, nefarious plot. and i like it!
and yes, I was convinced it had to be season one or two. i read so many scripts, scrolling through everything that wasn't l/l. grr. miel should get a cookie, or a gold star, or something. . . unfortunately, my sanity isn't worth much. i'll let you decide.
