Turkey Day!
Hello All!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I just got finished with my Turkey dinner... which literally fell apart when my Dad tried to move it from the pan to the cutting board! It looked like something from CSI, and my mom said that she had never seen a turkey do that before.
I just posted Chapter 6 of 'The Last' a few hours ago. I'm really proud of the way that it turned out... and I hope that my readers like it. It took forever to pick out all of those songs... but they are all perfect. My sister fought for me to include Bonnie Raitt's 'I Can't Make You Love Me', and even though I didn't want to at first, I'm really glad that she made me do it! All of the songs are great... and I might not be the biggest country music fan in the world, but 'Complicated' was the perfect song for the chapter. (Actually, I kinda hate most country. Not a fan of 'My dog just died, and my wife took my chevy and ran away with a taxadermist' kind of songs.)
I'm dreading tomorrow... I have to be at work at 6am. Evil black Fridays! And just a secret... there are no actual sales on Black Friday. I know what you are thinking, 'what the hell, she must have taken a flying leap off the sanity bridge' but I am right. Stores mark up items, and then mark them back down. Or, the sale is bigger a few weeks before Black Friday. Either way, you aren't saving as much as you think you are.
Plus, lets face it. People are evil. And incredibly disrespectful. I had a woman scream at me for five minutes last year because I didn't have a medium in a sweater that she wanted to buy. NEWS FLASH: It's not my fault that someone else got there first and bought it before you... and yelling at me isn't going to make on appear... Izod isn't a portal to Hogwarts!
Speaking of which, we just got the DVD for the new HP movie. I love Harry Potter, and 'Prisioner of Azkaban' is my favorite book. There was a lot of stuff that I wished that they included in the movie, and there was a whole bunch of stuff out of sequence, but overall, they did a great job. Plus, the music to the movie is absolutely amazing. I already have a bid in for it on EBAY.
Going to go sleep off the Tryptofan...
