Red Eye
Nicole and I went to go see Red Eye after work tonight. I just got back, and had to post my thoughts.
It was good. Really good. A shirtless CM would have bumped it up to great, but really good is still... really good. (forgive me, funny isn't something I always accomplish at midnight.) I enjoyed it, so really, all in all, the movie accomplished it's main goal.
Rachel McAdams is awesome. She just rocks. And CM, well, he plays a psychotic jackass killer guy to perfection. Did you know that he was originally in the running to play Batman, and when they cast CB, they gave him another role, because they loved him? Little trivia for you late nighters.
It was short though. Even with us getting there late, because we are stupid and totally forgot about the deluge of NY and NJers fleeing our fair mountians on 80, and had to get off at an exit aways away, then race back to the movie theater. But the move was short, like an hour and twentyish. But it was good. I was on the edge of my seat, furiously nibbling my popcorn. (My dinner, as we got out later than we were expecting to, thanks to two stupid asshole women who decided to shop for twenty extra minutes after closing.) I actually finished the bag. A mark of a truly interesting film.
It was very psychological. Almost Hitchcockian, but not nearly on that level. (but then, is anything on Alfred's level?) I mean, you were there for the whole thing, when he got into her head, it felt like he was in yours.
So all in all, a good flick. Very good. I'd give it a B+/A-.

Between you and Ames' commentary, I have to go catch it.
you're so right on. i clung to hubby, not munched on popcorn, but the whole time. I even jumped and screamed during the drawn out house bit. I couldn't believe how much ass she kicked. loved that. even if it was his ass she was disfiguring so much. he was so good at every single aspect of his role, truly.
and M, yes, you have to see it. I can't belive i finally beat you to one! I had to wait all weekend for hubby!
i need to write! i'm feeling whiny and still a little detoxy. i think the movie right after work just took it all out of me. good thing there's no soda in this house... But I think I can pull out some PP. ;) I won't forget to Mary Sue you in. It won't be for a few chapters, though.

Don't remind me why we weren'g going to see it. Valiant. Then the PILs decided they wanted to spend time outdoors. Oh well.

I know!
But while RM and CM rocked, didn't the redhead in charge while RM was gone make the movie? I found her to be absoultly hilarious. Her reactions were great.
